This is more a thank you than a review for Dr. Ekström. From scheduling our appt, to saying goodbye, the staff at At Home Vet was respectful, tactful, compassionate, helpful, and tender and provided the guidance so desperately needed for the decision we had to face. The idea of having to transport our dearest 14 year old pup to the vet and grieve there was awful- she deserved to go at home, on her bed, in a favorite calm spot, with her family around her.
Dr. Hanna made that all possible, and she did something we weren't able to do for a long time no matter how hard we tried...she made him comfortable (and us too), and our dog left this world gracefully, peacefully. She also provided resources for helping our daughter understand this life changing event. My sincerest wish for every pet lover is that the final earthly moments with their animal go just as our experience went. So, thank you, Dr. Ekström for your kindness. Your service is a gift.

Dr. Hanna and the gang are the best! The end had come for my 21 year-old kitty... Dr. Hanna was the perfect guide to help me understand the euthanasia process, and then to help my kitty over the Rainbow Bridge. She was very caring and gentle.

Hanna Ekstrom is a caring & compassionate vet who made the last day of our precious beagle's life pain free & peaceful. She came to our home & treated Lady with dignity & respect so that her death was tranquil. She comforted us in a way that didn't trespass on our grief. Our American Eskimo family pet of almost 15 years was dying of liver failure... It turned out to be a blessing in disguise that my vet was not in that day since we were able to have the procedure done in the comfort of our home. Our dog was able to remain on her favorite rug out on our deck (her favorite place). Dr. Hanna was excellent at explaining to our grade school aged children what was about to happen. I would highly recommend her services as she is a compassionate and caring vet.

My cat is a total nightmare with strangers and is very aggressive so it is impossible to take her into the vet. Dr. Hanna started coming to my house about three years ago and since then I have added two dogs to my family. ...Dr. Ekstrom and a veterinary assistant came to my house the same day I called the At Home Vet and simply couldn't have been kinder or more compassionate. They gently and quickly assessed my pets’ condition and gave her a sedative right away to give her some comfort. The euthanasia procedure itself was fast and gentle.
I could focus on being gently and fully present with my dog in her last moments, which were much more peaceful than I expected.

Highly recommended. We needed help with our 11-yr-old dog that had cancer. She was nearing the end of her life and we needed help deciding when it was time. Dr. Allen came out and did an excellent quality-of-life exam in which they gave us a lot of helpful advice and were frank about what to look for to help us know when it was time.
A couple months later when we had to let our dog go, Dr. Ekstrom came and did the procedure. We could tell instantly that our dog was in good hands, which helped ease our anxiety. We were heartbroken but Dr. Ekstrom explained the procedure to us and calmly helped our dog go with dignity and peace. It was a tough time that went the best it could go thanks to the compassion of Dr. Ekstrom and her staff.

Hanna did an amazing job handling all three of our pets in one visit, 2 cats and an excited puppy. The check-up went great and she managed to keep everyone calm, the prices were reasonable, and it's great to know she can come to our house if needed in the future, although seeing her at her clinic worked out great for us this time.

You could not possibly have a better House Call Vet care for your pets than Dr. Hanna and her practice. Her staff is full of care, compassion and professionalism and will do all that they can to provide the very best veterinary care with heart for your pet.
I would recommend Dr. Hanna to anyone who wants to provide in home care to his or her pet but also for people who want to develop a long term relationship in having her provide care from beginning to end. If the end is all you need, you could not ask for a better person to allow your pet to pass more peacefully than she. Hanna and the team at At Home Vet have always been timely, caring, and attentive to the needs of my pets.
